Editorial Process
Jurnal Inovasi dan Teknologi Pendidikan (INTEP) applies a systematic editorial and peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, relevance, and academic integrity of published manuscripts.
1. MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION
Authors submit their manuscripts through the online submission system of Jurnal Inovasi dan Teknologi Pendidikan (JITP). Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts comply with the journal's Author Guidelines and are relevant to the journal's focus and scope.
2. INITIAL EDITORIAL SCREENING
Each submitted manuscript undergoes an initial editorial screening. At this stage, the editorial team evaluates the manuscript for its relevance to the journal's scope, basic academic quality, originality, completeness, and compliance with the journal's submission requirements.
Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements may be returned to the authors for revision or may be rejected before entering the peer-review stage.
3. DOUBLE-BLIND PEER REVIEW
Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening are sent for double-blind peer review. In the double-blind review process, the identities of the authors and reviewers are kept confidential from each other. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise.
4. REVIEW EVALUATION
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on several considerations, including:
- Relevance to the journal's focus and scope
- Originality and contribution to the field
- Clarity of research objectives
- Appropriateness of research methodology
- Quality and clarity of results
- Quality of discussion and interpretation
- Validity and relevance of references
- Academic writing and presentation
- Ethical considerations
5. EDITORIAL DECISION
Based on the reviewers' comments and recommendations, the editor makes an editorial decision regarding the manuscript.
Possible decisions include:
- Accept
- Accept with minor revisions
- Revise and resubmit
- Reject
The final editorial decision is the responsibility of the editor.
6. REVISION
When revisions are required, authors must revise their manuscripts according to the reviewers' and editor's comments. Authors may be asked to provide responses or explanations regarding the revisions made.
7. FINAL ACCEPTANCE AND PUBLICATION
Manuscripts that have successfully completed the review and revision process may be accepted for publication.
Accepted manuscripts proceed to the final editorial and publication process before being published in the appropriate issue of Jurnal Inovasi dan Teknologi Pendidikan (JITP).
8. EDITORIAL INDEPENDENCE
Editorial decisions are made based on the academic quality, relevance, originality, and contribution of the manuscript. The editorial process is conducted independently and aims to maintain the integrity and quality of scholarly publication.
